Alexis Kidd Medical Expenses

My beautiful wife, Alexis, is a giver. When I was sick last year with throat cancer and things looked darkest, she was there for me every step of the way. She accompanied me to hundreds of appointments and treatments; she researched for hours on end; she provided guidance when I had to make a difficult decision; and she found solutions when I could not. Throughout it all, and despite the seemingly endless stress and heartache, she made me laugh. Today, I am cancer-free and I couldn’t have done it without her. She is there for others in the same way every day—whether she knows you or not—just ‘cause. At her home-away-from-home, the Glitterdome, she helped a cute elderly couple safely connect with their Uber driver and another customer, who’d lost her hair after chemo, find just the right outfit to make her feel beautiful again. She’s continually on the frontline for various fundraisers, including a Houston Food Bank drive and a benefit for musicians trying to beat addiction. Her dedication to the world doesn’t stop with us humans—she helps rescued cats and kittens find their forever homes and lost fur babies find their families. And then of course, there’s saving our own shy gentle giant, the Lucky puppy. Her positive attitude, even in hard times, is an inspiration to her friends, family—everyone.

But now, Alexis needs help. She would never ask for it, so I’m doing it for her. She’s a cancer survivor, who was diagnosed with mesothelioma some years back. Though she beat it, it left her body and organs weakened and battered, and she continues to battle various associated health problems. Most recently, she’s been fighting congestive heart failure and lung issues. Because of this, Alexis has had to take days off work, going in when she can and sending good vibes to her coworkers when she can’t. With all of the medical bills and just one thing after another, we’re struggling.

To sum my Alexis up, if that’s even possible, I remember an old passion of hers: to explore our beloved Montrose in search of LOVE graffiti. Every time she found a new heart she would squee with delight. It made her so happy. And that’s her, my wife. Please help if you can.
