Alexander Mason Sanchez was born on September 29, 2012, in Saint Barnabas Hospital.
Alexander is the first-born and has been special in bringing an abundance of happiness to Robert and Melissa. Who would have ever imagined the horrible news that Alex had Neuroblastoma Cancer by the age of 2?
When Melissa and Robert found out Alexander was diagnosed with cancer, their worlds fell apart. They never thought that their little boy would be going through it, and at such a young age. Their hearts were broken for him. Alexander was always such a happy, energetic, and playful boy. Nothing brought him down, not a bump, not a cold, and not even the early stages of cancer because through it all he continued to be the happiest boy, full of energy. But deep down inside, he was in the process of battling stage four cancer. Since his diagnosis on June 14, 2015, Alex has been undergoing chemotherapy and is expected to be in treatment well into the upcoming months. His team at Beth Israel Hospital has been aggressively treating his stage four Neuroblastoma cancer. By the time Alex turns 3, he will have already been through several major surgeries. His smile and strength is what keeps the family going.
Alexander is still the bravest and strongest boy they know. He is their Hero…
Melissa and Robert will continue to keep positive, and strong; they will continue to pray for him as he continues his battle. They thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and for everyones help. They deeply appreciate it from the bottom of their hearts and have been deeply touched by the love and support that has come their way. They ask that you keep their family in your prayers..
