Alex's rabbinical education

Dearest family and friends,

         You are receiving this email from Angela Zaichik - friend and student of Alex and Elina Hirman, whom you all know well.
We’re hoping to raise $6,000 in this GO FUND ME campaign to cover the costs of Alex's 2 years of rabbinical education!

        As many of you know, it’s been his dream to complete his studies and become a Rabbi.  With all his financial obligations, including 4 children in Jewish schools, his own dream has been put on hold for many years. However, with all of our support, we can make his dream and calling a reality this year!

       As you all know, Alex was born and raised in the former Soviet Union and at the age of 12 he and his family moved to Israel. In the year 2000, after marrying Elina, they moved to California.

       Their transformative journey to Jewish roots began in 2007 when they discovered Chabad of Oak Park and gradually immersed themselves in Jewish life. Under the guidance of Rabbi Levine and Rabbi Bistritzky, Alex slowly became an integral member of the family-like community.

       His commitment to Jewish learning and living his heritage proudly is evident in everything he does: from faithfully observing Shabbat, keeping a kosher home, sending his children to Jewish school, wearing traditional clothing, keeping his beard, ongoing commitment to better himself in everything he does - he demonstrates his desire to fully embrace the Mitzvot and connect to Hashem! He also shares passionately his knowledge and love for Judaism with anyone he meets, especially the Hirmans are working hard to bring the beauty of Judaism and Torah to Russian Jews who live in the Los-Angeles area.

       Alex's thirst for knowledge and Jewish learning is immense and his desire to become a rabbi is a natural next step on his journey. Let’s all help Alex fulfill his life’s mission and goal to become a Rabbi!

       Anything you can give is much appreciated!  I hope that by the 4th of July (celebrating the country that gave Alex the opportunity to thrive and start his Jewish journey) all of you will find it in your heart to give what you can for this worthy cause.
