Alex's brain surgery

Donation protected
On Wednesday, August 29th, my 30 year old nephew Alex went to the ER for a migraine or what he thought was possibly high blood pressure. The ER doctor felt this was more than a headache and immediately ordered a CT scan followed by an MRI. The results showed that Alex had a very large tumor on his brain. Alex was admitted and had to go through more scans and blood work. The neurosurgeon met with the family and said Alex needed brain surgery to remove the tumor and he was very confident the tumor was benign but it had to come out...not next week, not tomorrow, now! A few hours later Alex was in surgery! Everything went well with the surgery but when the doctor met with the family, he said the tumor in his brain was so big, that once it was removed he could fit two fists in the space it was located. He said Alex was doing well, but there's a possibility he won't remember anyone. There's also a possibility he will have trouble with his vision. He's still very confident the tumor is benign, but we won't know for sure for a few more days. Alex is doing great but this is a slow process-it's not a sprint, it's a marathon. He's still in neuro ICU and we have no clue how long he'll be in the hospital. He's got a long road ahead of him but I'm confident there is a light at the end of the tunnel and Alex is still with us for a reason! His story isn't finished yet, it's only just begun!

Here's where you all come into the story. Alex has a wife and 4 children and is off work indefinitely. He also has no insurance. His biggest stress right now is worrying about his family. I can't begin to imagine what brain surgery costs. On top of that, they've got all the day to day expenses a family of six incurs. My hope is to relieve this stress from Alex so he can concentrate on getting better and writing his next chapter. If you can't help financially please help in spirit and pray for Alex and the whole family.
