Alex Needs Kidney Transplant

On behalf of my sister, family and her team in South Africa we are urgently raising funds to rush Alex (Anne's husband) to a private specialist for dialysis. He does not qualify for government renal program in South Africa as a Missionary on a volunteer visa. His condition is critical and cannot fly out of the country at the moment.
Alex was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney disease, and it has escalated so quickly in the past weeks in that his kidneys are not processing the toxic wastes anymore.
He has a high urea level as a result, which has made him extremely sick.
The doctors have confirmed that he needs urgent dialysis. The only way he can receive treatment is via a private specialist at the moment, if his life will be spared.
We will send more updates on his health and diagnosis as soon as we can, we just want to appeal to all to rally around Alex in his greatest moment of need - to preserve his life. He is currently in a critical condition, and any amount could save him.

UPDATE:
We have successfully gotten Alex on to dialysis, and he has had about 2 weeks of therapy so far. He goes twice a week, approximately 4 hours a session.
His mental well-being and toxicity have stabilized, but his kidneys have not been recovered. They are no longer able to perform the work of processing toxins in his body.  

He needs urgent "Kidney Transplant" if he is to live longer.

We are actively raising the necessary funds for the next intervention. We have posted the budget in the latest update on this site, but for quick reference, we need $20, 000 - $25, 000 for the major surgery to be done in India. This includes the cost of travel and medical procedure.
We also have a family member who has agreed to donate one kidney.  

We are planning for this procedure to be done as soon as possible, else we will need to keep paying huge amounts to keep him in dialysis.
