Brain Surgery & Living Expenses

Donation protected

I've battled Crohns disease and health conditions for over 17 years. The medications, chemo, shots and infusions just about broke me and I fell into addiction to numb the mental and emotional pain. I made a decision June 2011 to give my life to God and get sober because I was broken. My health began to improve as I began to heal from the inside out through the help of the AA fellowship, God and every soul that's guided me on this journey. I am not one to give up, as a matter of fact I am quite stubborn and I can thank my Italian grandmother for that one! :) I began to pursue my education 2014 to advocate for children and familes. I graduated from Cuesta last month. I am considering law school one day. I want to use my entire life experiences to transform and heal the lives of others, especially children. Recently, I had been diagnosed with a benign tumor. It was all successfully removed within 8 hours!Im grateful the doctor didn't think it was cancerous and I'll be getting with an oncologist next month to discuss whether it's necessary to even go through with chemo/radiation etc.
The problem is, I'm unsure how I will cover rent, living expenses and my brand new car being totalled recently by a tree falling on it during the storm. I dodged that tree in a matter of 60 seconds. My car is not covered by my "liability insurance." Alex's lesson learned for not covering my own insurance! I thank God everyday for sparing my life and for all the gifts I have been blessed with. I do not take life for granted. It's been a very humbling experience.
The continuous love, support, and those who've listened and guided me in my most darkest moments have kept me alive. A God I turned my back on years ago, has given me the grace I've needed to remain strong and has given me the strength to continue to smile. I don't have a lot of family, but I have created my family in the rooms of AA. I am beyond grateful to still be alive and be a sober woman that continues to not give up on life. I believe in my heart that we all have a soul purpose here. I love all of you and the continuous love, prayers and the most beautiful words of hope you send me.
Please help me walk through this. Anything helps! What's freely given to me, will be given to the rooms and lives of children / families. Thank you
