ALA Boston - August 2017 Challenge

For the second year in a row, our chapter's Community Outreach Committee has issued a challenge to help us reach our goal of $10,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Medford and Somerville! Last year, this Chapter's generous members and business partners raised over $15,000 and were able to transform the young adult program, impacting 30 individuals up from 10 the previous year.
We, as part of the best chapter in the ALA, should be proud about the impact we have made. To keep this going, we need your help again! To achieve our goal, we are challenging all of our members, firms, business partners and friends to raise/donate as much as possible to this great cause. We are asking you to donate whatever you can: $10, $20, $50, $100 or more by the end of August. Obviously the more you can raise, the better. This is a strength by numbers campaign - if everyone participates we will exceed our goal. Please remember that the Boston Chapter ALA "owns" this program and without our support, these teenagers do not have a program. Of course they will receive 100% of all donations.
What's in it for you, your firm or company on top of feeling great about helping us support an unfunded high school program for teenage youth ages 16-18, you will also get your name on the website as a donor to the cause! Therefore, we have named August "Boys & Girls Clubs Challenge Month" and we know our chapter is up to the challenge!
