Accra Marathon

Benedicta is 11 years old and part of the Street 2 School Soccer Programme in Labadi. 4 Years ago she was involved in an accident and her injuries were left untreated, now she has developed scoliosis. 

On the 29 July 2019, through Akwaaba Volunteers Benedicta got her spinal brace fitted to correct the Scoliosis hopefully without needing surgery but she is going to need ongoing treatment and physiotherapy. 

On September 7th King and Jordan, the founders of Akwaaba Volunteers will be running the Accra marathon to raise money for the ongoing treatment for Benedicta so we can continue to support her and she can be back on the football pitch in no time!
