Wolfgang's Pelvic Surgery

Donation protected

Hello friends and family. Today, January 19th I went to the park with my dog, Wolfgang. We were going to meet with some good lontime friends to catch up, one of which is the original owner of Wolfgang. Wolfgang, is a 5 year old Siberian Husky and has grown to be a huge part of our lives since the moment he entered them. He has a heart of gold, such a good and loving dog. He means the world to us and is loved by everyone who has had the pleasure of meeting him.

We had just gotten to Melba Bishop Park in Oceanside. In the process of getting out of the car, Wolfgang, had slipped out of his leash and colar and began sprinting away. It was nearly rush hour and there was a lot of commotion happening all around us to where, Wolfgang, hadn't realized that I was chasing him because I was worried and not because we were playing. He ran towards North River Rd, which is a very busy main road. I had ran accross North River to look out for him, because that was where I saw him run to. He ran so fast that by the time I got accross the street I hadn't realized that he had ran back to the other side of the road. As I had turned around and noticed, he had noticed me and began to run towards me crossing the road. At that time, I watched my dog get hit by two cars.

It was the most terrible, most devasting thing I had ever witnessed. I didn't know what to do. I was panicing and scared as I ran to the middle of the road. It was one of the saddest things I've ever seen. Luckily, there were good people around me and they helped me lift, Wolfgang up into the back of a pickup truck owned by one of the people who had stopped to help me. I left with them in the back of the truck laying next to, Wolgang, scared for his life and terrified of what was going to happen.

Where his pelvis meets his spine is out of place and is fractured in 4 places. Wolfgang, will come out of this fine in the end, which is incredible considering what had happened. Unfortunately, his best chance for a healthy life after all this is to undergo pelvic surgery. We've been at two veterinary hosptials all day looking over his x-rays, his conditions and the bills that have added up throughout all of this which have come out to be around 10,000 dollars. It's all been so overwhelming, we don't even know where to begin.

We are trying to raise as much money as we can to try to help us with this hard time. Anything that anyone could give would be so greatly appreciated and mean so much to us and our poor, Wolfgang. Life just wouldn't be the same without him. So please donate/share, anything. It would really mean the world to us. Thank you for your time<3
