Help Bailey Beat Cancer!

Donation protected
We were devastated on Saturday when we learned that our baby boy Bailey was diagnosed with a uncommon, aggressive type of cancer called anal sac adenocarcinoma. This came as a huge surprise to us and being devastated is a understatement.  We spent the weekend crying and trying to figure out how to make him comfortable and our next steps. Yes, I even called out on Monday to spend the day with him because he is part of our family and I wanted to enjoy every last minute with him. To some of you he may be just a dog, but to us he is our first kiddo, from when we had to bottle feed him when he was only 4 pounds.

We asked many people to pray and we finally got good news yesterday ( 9-26-18). We did chest xrays and found out that his cancer hasn't metastasized and his heart looks good. He gained the four pounds back he had lost, by changing his diet. He is currently not taking the $6 a pill medication to help him with pain and swelling:):) THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO SAID A PRAYER.

With that great news was also the reality of paying to see an oncologist and have immediate surgery to have his anal glands removed before the cancer spreads. I don't like asking for help, but many of you suggested this idea and we so appreciate your willingness to help, as we had a baby 6 months ago and depleted a majority of our savings. Here is where we are with his treatments:

We became aware when we returned from a trip that he was drinking 2-3x the amount of water as usual and immediately scheduled an appointment.

9-6-18 Blood work ( chem 24) CBC thyroid urinalysis, fecal, and heartworm tests. This showed high levels of calcium,  which is a indicator of cancer. $499.10

9-19-18 Cytology ( biopsy). This confirmed it was anal sac adenocarcinoma. $256. 40

9-24-18 Thoraic Study ( Chest xrays/radiology). This confirmed the cancer has not metastasized.  $ 481.05

9-28-18 He is scheduled to see the oncologist surgeon and the consultation fee is $310. I will update this as soon they ensure he can get the surgery and find out all cost associated with that.

Total so far ( with Friday included) is $1546.55.  We appreciate all of your help and prayers. Please share with your friends . I'm hoping he has a smooth recovery and can beat this cancer and continue to grow up with Aria who adores him. We dont need to hear negative remarks, as he is family and we would do anything to give him the help he needs and this is the decision our family has made. Thank you!!!
