A New Home for Aikido of Flagstaff

Aikido of Flagstaff  has been serving the Flagstaff community since 1985.  Over the last 30 years we have been fortunate enough to share our dojo with many wonderful people.  Some stayed for a year, while others stayed for decades, but we have been grateful for each and every one. 

In 2016, the building that housed our dojo was sold by the owners to make way for a new apartment building. Thankfully, we found a temporary home in the basement of a  community church where we could throw down our mats and keep training. 

However, this month we found a new permanent home right in downtown Flagstaff! We're excited to be in such a central location and to be so close to all of our favorite eating and drinking establishments. 

We have a lot of renovation work to do before we can open our doors to the Aikido and Flagstaff community again. Over the next month we'll be putting in all our spare time on demolition, rebuilding, and painting. However, our first and foremost task is to get new mats.  Our old mats did not fair well in storage and we need a fresh start. 

So we are reaching out to all of our friends and families in the Aikido community to help us get started.  Every dollar of your donation will go directly into the dojo renovation, beginning with the mats.
