Ahmad Seyar's Kidney Transplant

My name is Mohammad Amin Shafiee, a resident of Virginia - USA. I am representing a group of friends and Afghans from all over the world who would like to help an Afghan young boy (Seyar Ahmad s/o Aziz Ahmad) who has been suffering from renal/kidney failure and needs urgent treatment and kidney transplant. We don't have any family relationship with this family; we just know that they are a needy family from Afghanistan who called for help to treat their son. We learned about this case through one of the Afghan TV channels named "ZAN TV" after Seyar's mother called Afghans throughout the world to help them financially as they couldn't afford the treatment of their son. Thus, I shared this report to one of the Afghan groups on Facebook groups named "Afghans Living in DC Area". We created a group of those friends who showed interest in helping this family on facebook messenger and I was assigned to create the GoFundMe account.  We immediately asked one of our group members in Kabul to visit this family and assist them with the arrangements and hospitalization in Herat as per the request of the family. The funds will be used for Seyar Ahmad's treatment in Afghanistan. He is currently under treatment at one of the Hospitals (Luqman Hakim Hospital) in Herat province of Afghanistan where his kidney transplant surgery will occur. The funds will be used for the transplant surgery and post-operation procedures including medicine for a period of one year after his surgery. We have had several discussions with the management of the hospital and they are offering discount to this particular case as they are a poor family. The funds will be initially withdrawn to my account from the GoFundMe Account and it will then be completely transferred to the Bank Account of the Seyar Ahmad’s family or the hospital which ever option best works considering the limitation and legal issues of the financial transactions from USA and the urgency of the treatment of Seyar Ahmad. The funds will be transferred via wire transfer to the bank account of Seyar Ahmad’s father. Meantime, if the hospital requests a direct transfer to their account for the purpose of the operation, it will also be an option to transfer the funds as per the surgery costs to the hospital, but the remaining funds will be transferred to Seyar Ahmad’s family so that they could pay for his medication and post operation treatment as needed.  However, it is worth mentioning that if the wire transfer option does not happen, we do not rule out the transfer of funds via Western Union or MoneyGram in order to avoid further delays with the treatment of Seyar Ahmad. He is a young 22 year old who suffers from chronic kidney failure (both kidneys are failing). Seyar needs a kidney transplant as soon as possible. He has been on routine kidney dialysis every 2-3 days in order to keep him alive. Seyar’s health is deteriorating by the day and he is in danger of complete renal failure! His family is very poor and they plead for your help so that they can seek medical treatment for their son. The family members need to be tested for possible donor match at this moment urgently and they do not have the funds for the HLA testing.
