After Fire Relief for Aracely

We are still in shock about the events that transpired early this morning...
Around 2:00 am in the morning of August 7, while my aunt Aracely and husband Kenneth were sleeping, their dog Jake tried to wake them up. Shortly after, they heard the fire alarm going off in their apartment. They quickly got up to investigate and see what was causing the alarm. They checked the kitchen and living room, and although there was smoke, they saw no fire. Upon further inspection, they opened the door to the bathroom and the flames engulfed and spilled into the apartment. Something in the ceiling above their bathroom short circuited and caught fire and the bathroom was completely charred. Quickly they called the police and went outside to warn their neighbors since they share walls. They were only able to gather very little clothes before having to vacate their apartment and watch it burn while first responders did everything they could. After firefighters put out the fire, they noticed that the insulation in the roof of the complex was still on fire and caused additional damage - they ultimately had to take down the structure and put out the flames. Luckily they were able to get out in time and get to safety along with Jake and their neighbors.
We are asking for assistance to help Aracely get back on her feet - they are safe, and staying with Aracely’s nephew - but lost a lot in the fire and the process is going to be very difficult. Please consider donating.
