Mark's Road to Recovery

Please help me make life a little easier for Mark. In the last year I have watched Mark endure more pain than I could ever imagine and he’s handled it like a champ. From the loss of his mother, 3 angioplasties, a bypass and an unfortunate accident that resulted in the loss of a thumb. Now, after of all this he has to cope with the loss of his leg.

I can honestly say that he’s a better person and a lot tougher than myself. I do not believe that I could still function as a normal person after so much hurt and pain. But, this is not the case with Mark. Every day he’s more optimistic than the one before. He never complains and he does not ask for much. After each of his surgeries, the extinct of his complaining sounds as such, “I wish I had a recliner.” I would love to have one home waiting for him after weeks of rehab. Please help me make the necessary adjustments to our lives and our home so that it continues to feel as normal as possible to him. He will not be able to use crutches due to his bypass, so he will be in a wheelchair for a while. Any donations received will go to expenses for his care, and household improvements.

Mark is always smiling and has the best sense of humor. It’s contagious when you are around him and to be around him is to feel joy. He has made my life better than I could ever imagine it being and I would love to return the favor.
