Feminine Product Drive

Hello! My name is Rebecca and I am a 19 year old college student from the Chicago suburbs. Thanks for considering a donation to this feminine product drive. This drive is inspired by - and benefitting - the homeless women of Chicago, who face the struggle monthly of having to decide between food, or the dignity and comfort that feminine products bring. While I am given the luxury of deciding between tampons or pads (usually depending on my outfit) when "that time of the month" rolls around, thousands of women in Chicago are forced to ball up and squeegee out old socks, steal what they need, or soil themselves. These are intimate details- not a dinner table topic. However, this is a reality. And this is why I am asking for your help!

All of the money raised will be used to purchase feminine products, which will be distributed to a shelter or two (depeding on the total donations) before I head back to college. For that reason, this page will be closing on August 14th. Please share this page with your friends ASAP! Despite such a short amount of time, I know we have the combined resources to make a huge impact. A suggested donation is 7 dollars, the standard price for a box of tampons or pads. And, in perspective, only two trips to Starbucks. So manageable! I know we can blow the $100 goal out of the water, and I look forward to seeing the end result.
