Adventuring with Purpose in Nepal

My name is Misti Hurst and I'm a former AMA Pro Roadracer, Motorcycle Riding Coach, mom of 2 and moto journalist from Vancouver, Canada. I'm super excited to announce that have joined forces with an organization called Adventuring with Purpose whose goal is to organize off-road motorcycle rallies in Nepal and donate proceeds to directly benefit homeless children living on the streets.  



I'll be traveling to Nepal in October 2018 for a 14 day off-road motorcycle adventure where along the way we will meet and interact with the kids that will directly benefit from our charity donations.  We will deliver the funds raised to the Canadian Charity, Himalayan Life who operate shelters, soup kitchens, create employment opportunities through their recycling plant, provide educational opportunities, and build schools where there is the most need.  



Adventuring with Purpose dreams of providing  opportunities for street kids to not only have a safe environment to grow up in but to also participate in sports like mountain biking and dirt biking by providing equipment, gear, education, and instruction. Each participant of the rally will donate a large portion of the trip cost directly to the registered charity Himalayan Life.  All other fundraising proceeds will go to Adventuring with Purpose to help promote, share, create and grow the rallies to further benefit the children and get them off the streets. 

I met Scott (AWP) and Daniel (Himalayan Life) when my husband suggested that I write a story for Motorcycle Mojo Magazine on them and their adventures/work in Nepal.  Daniel has been working and running Himalayan Life in for 20+ years and his passion and love for the children inspired me to want to get involved.  

I'll be writing several articles and stories about the motorcycle adventure and the children that we meet and support along the way and will be sure to keep everyone updated.  We will have an Instagram account and Facebook page being updated with photos from the trip so you can see exactly who the donations will benefit and share some of the  adventure along with us.  (stay tuned for links and updates)
