Hello World!

My name is Adrina and I am the face behind the emerging brand self-entitled, Adrina Dietra. I am a single mommy of two amazing and rambunctious toddlers, working full time with individuals with disabilities.

I am passionate about helping others because I have, personally, fallen into many of the categories of persons in need of assistance. I would love to show, no matter what, if you have the drive, and if needed, the assistance, you can climb out of any dark corner life has placed you in. I have been the victim of mental, physical, sexual, and verbal abuse, suffer from anxiety, severe depression, ADHD, and OCD. After moving to Binghamton 2 years ago and starting life over, nearly from scratch, I decided to re-pursue my life-long dream of turning my hobby into an actual company that strives to give back to those in dire need! 

Within this brand I create natural apothecary goods such as lotions, soaps, bath soak/bombs, candles, etc as well as intimate apparel garments from the most basic every-day wearable to high end extravagant for editorial shoots and ladies that like to add a cheeky pop to their wardrobe. I also create lingerie inspired garments like the wedding gown seen in the fund photo!

Currently, my products are found online and in Tesorina Boutique in downtown Binghamton, NY, but with your help, I would love to finally open my own brick and mortar storefront.  Within this store, I would not only like to sell my basic apothecary and intimate/intimate inspired apparel, but I would like to make the process of customization more accessible. 

I will convert regular bras to mastectomy bras. Just because life happened, does not mean one should have to give up their favorite bras! I will create garments for ladies on both ends of the size spectrum when/if their size is not available--everyone deserves to look and feel great! I will provide alterations to intimates and delicate clothes. I will provide custom scented apothecary goods to define a scent that is you!

With all of this, I plan to continue to give back to the community by:

1. Giving a portion of all proceeds accumulated by the shop, to a charity that will be selected {community input accepted} each month. These will range from locations both near and far as my products have been purchased and enjoyed by clients around the world.

2. Continuing to have shows and different events/small forums to raise awareness/funds for different ailments/illnesses/people in need/charities/Organizations. So far, money has been raised for/items donated to, Avenue D.I.Y., The Bundy Museum of History & Art, Binghamton's Femme Fest 2017, Abel's Birthday Bash, CERF+, & Victims of the Hurricane that devastated Texas/Louisiana. There are already several more, including collaborations, in the works!

Approximately $2000 will be allotted for notions, supplies, and raw goods/oils, etc. to create all of the stock for the store. 

$1000 will be allotted for furniture, shelving, paints, and other cosmetic needs.

$1000 will go towards a security system and other electronic or security needs such as a lockable cash drawer and monitors/pads & stands for a point of sales system. 

If total funds are raised and all needs met, any overage will spill into assistance with 1st year rent/utilities as this is one of the most difficult things to keep up with as an emerging storefront attempting to gain its base clientele. Currently, I plan to pay between 1/2-1 year of the lease in advance {depending upon which of the, 5 so far, scouted fronts are chosen}.

My hopeful deadline is Mid March - Early April as I would love to open the doors this coming spring! This way, I can utilize the wonderful weather to attract clients that are both local and just visiting. 

Unfortunately, taking the leap to be a brick and mortar is much more costly than I would be able to afford in the next few years, but, with assistance, I am ready to take on the challenge of maintaining it!

Hi All!

It has been a while since the last update--a lot has been manifesting!

*AD made an appearance at July Fest this year! Made a great deal of wonderful connections. Had an image in a PressConnects feature on the event and the amazing artisans and musicians in attendance.

*AD has two upcoming events listed in the Facebook page's Events section. One is the annual La Leche League Family Picnic and the other, a fundraising garden party, hosted by The Discovery Center of the Southern Tier, entitled, An Evening of Wine and Roses. Be sure to check out the page and RSVP/share with your network! Each event will have an AD basket raffled off to those in attendance. It is my hope, between orders, alterations, continued prep for the mini boutique, and mommy/dayjob life in general, to bring new items that are new/expecting mommy-related to the family picnic.

*A temporary and/satellite space for use as a physical shop for people to readily view, or experience AD, has been sourced! This place will also serve as a showroom and a neutral space for alterations and consultations. By way of awesome friends and curb alerts--some of the major furniture has already been acquired! This will be a relatively small space, so, how amazing is it, that the exact needed items have been popping up?!

Things needing refinishing, etc, are being done by yours truly--being as economical as possible! There is not yet a set date, but hopefully, close to the holiday season, there will be some news for you all!

Welp--it's official. Coming late spring/early summer 2019. Super excited!

Sad it had to be pushed back, but with now having connections to more business owners both near and far, the advice and assistance I've been receiving has helped me make this informed decision.

With this being said, in the meantime, the focus is on more visibility of my work. To keep abreast on how that is to occur, be sure to sign up for the newsletter and/or follow socially.

I am appreciative beyond measure to each of you that have donated to this effort--I cannot wait to share with you, what has been cooking up over this time.

It's that time again!

So, it has been a bit of a whirlwind, getting and participating in the past two, out of state, pop ups. NH was a blast and proved to be even more successful! The next appearance will be right here in Bing!

*Come view and purchase my wares at this year's Lady Fest {Formerly Femme Fest}. It will be hosted, once again, by Cyber Café West--with proceeds from entry tickets going to YWCA and Trans Lifeline.

*The alternate fronts have been reviewed. One has been selected--but it is way out of budget. With this being said, the store is at a stalemate until grants and such come through in the future. If this does not happen until deep in the summer, I will have to wait again until next year.

The bulk of the orders for the garment side of things, comes via the warmer months as the items can be used as not only undergarments, but garments themselves. I want to maximize on the first few months A.D will be open.

For now--pop-ups will still happen. This will also show where the greatest concentration for the product is, and if necessary, provide an avenue for development in an alternate town/city.

I am also in the process of finding more stockists to sell my apothecary items to keep the flow between popups and online orders.

With this being the major thing being waited upon--updates will be much more scarce, but as soon as any arise, you all will be notified!!

Hi All--Here is the weekly-ish update for today:

*The required publication paperwork is filed and all the publishing that is required of a new LLC is underway!

*Initial tax{as} paperwork is filed

*EIN was applied for and received!

*Back stock of the apothecary goods is coming along handsomely! I started it in bin towers so it will be easily transportable to any location as well as pop-up shops.

*Back stock of garments will start very soon! Sourcing for a patternmaker and manufacturer is complete, thanks to my liaison! Some old faves will be recreated as well as the latest items, made available to order!

*As it becomes available, stock will also be used for pop-up shops around the US, and soon, outside of it as well! ADs next appearance will be at Deadwicks' Dark Arts Faire in Portsmouth NH on St Patrick's Day! There will be so many AMAZING vendors, a special appearance by, the one and only, Rachel True, star of 'The Craft,' and a live score of a few silent horror movie faves by Timothy fife!

*So, it has come time for the very first roadblock in this operation. The storefront that was originally scouted and subsequently selected, is no longer available. Major sadface here. Unfortunately, the owner had leased it to someone else that is opening an art gallery, unbeknownst to the realtor.

That brings me back to {almost} square one on the store search. There are two locations the realtor will be showing me in the next few days. The downside of the locations are, the cost of leasing will be higher because of the larger spaces. I would absolutely love a larger space, but high rent can be an issue in the start of a business.

Also, the fronts are in one of the most highly trafficked sections of downtown Binghamton...but with that said, I am all for high traffic, but did prefer a front not so 'out there' and near dissimilar ambiances. Location is everything.

We will see where this goes, and as always, I will keep you informed...but for now...I guess we are at a very slight stalemate.
