Hello, my name is Adrian. :) I am a Latino transman who is seeking to take the next step on my journey to get rid of my gender dysphoria. I have started testosterone at the end of 2016 and found that it has relieved loads of my dysphoria/anxiety and made me a happier person.
The next step that will further my progress tremendously is top surgery. Gender dysphoria in regards to my chest has led me to wear binders which are so constricting that they are recommended by doctors to be taken off every few hours to give the body a break. Taking such measures, I believe, reflects the intensity of anxiety that comes with having a chest that causes crippling anxiety.
Of course, I would love to be able to take my shirt off and see the chest that better matches my identity today but I have certain limitations. More specifically, the cost of top surgery going up to a potential $10,000 has greatly hindered my ability to have the surgery done as soon as I would like. For this reason, I am saving every bit of money I can and have even taken two jobs.
Even so, I am further hindered financially by being enrolled in college with the goal of becoming a therapist. For this reason, I have made a gofundme page to ask for help from all who would like to support me through financial means. The money I make off of this page will go toward the surgeon's fee as well as the aftercare costs. With that said, every penny counts. Thank you all so much for taking the time to read this.
