Adelina Louise Maestas Medical Fund

Adelina Louise Maestas entered this world a few weeks earlier than expected due to unforeseen medial complications. Shortly after being released from the hospital she fell ill at home resulting in a trip to the Emergency Department. After a few days of tests & scans it was discovered that Adelina had contracted Acute Meningitis. Meningitis is a life threatening illness that can have long lasting effects even when treated successfully. At this point it is unknown how long Adelina's hospital stay will be, or what her future potential will be. The long term treatments, therapies and medications are still all being determined. What we do know is that the road ahead is long and Adelina's family will need all the support they can get. Even with insurance, a hospital stay of this nature and duration is going to put a financial strain on this young family. Apart from just the hospital bills, the cost of transportation, additional care for their two year old, and loss of work hours is a financial strain that is already being felt. Our desire is to come together as a community to help carry the monetary load and help ease some of this burden for the Maestas family. We will continue to share updates as the days progress.
