Adam's Cancer Treatment & Recovery

Our baby boy, Adam, was recently diagnosed with cancer. Adam is 1 and a half years old and is just beginning the long journey to successful treatment and recovery. He has already been through several tests and a procedure to remove some of the cancer area. We recently discovered more in his lymph nodes and those will also be removed. Then we will begin chemo therapy which the Oncologists is saying will last at least 6 months. As his parents we feel very uncomfortable asking for help but we've come to realize that this will be financially difficult to handle. Adam is being cared for by Children's National hospital in Washington D.C. We are going to make sure he gets the care and treatment he needs to get through this. Your support and generosity will help us get through this very difficult time for our family. We also have a 6 year old in first grade who a year ago was in the hospital for a month because of meningitis, it was the most scary thing we have ever been through. I learned at that time how financially overwhelming medical care is and how insurance only goes so far.
