Fundraiser for Adam Sari

This is the Sari families story..

Adam is 12 years old with a brain condition called Pantothenate kinase-associated neurodegeneration (PKAN),  also called Hallervorden–Spatz syndrome. It is a degenerative disease of the brain. It causes severe dystonia, dementia, and ultimately death. Neurodegeneration in PKAN is accompanied by an excess of iron that progressively builds up in the brain. 

Adam is wheelchair bound and incontinent. He is unable to do anything on his own and is dependant on 2 - 3 carers 24 hrs per day. Adam is the oldest of 4. He has 2 brothers and 1 sister. Their ages are Ibrahim 10 , Layal 4 and Noah 3. 

Unfortunately, due to Adam's high care needs, the family has been impacted significantly in many aspects. 

Adam is at the beginning of the end of his condition which is so very heart wrenching. His needs have increased significantly and the constant emergencies we face daily would have to be the hardest.
