Adam Burd
Donation protected
We are putting forth an effort to collect donations to help offset expenses for our I.L.A. brother and Army veteran Adam Burd. Before becoming a longshoreman he served in the Army Infantry for 4 years, did one tour in Iraq, and 11 years in the military with the national guard. Adam (31 yrs. old) was suddenly diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy Congestive Heart Failure. Having an EF (ejection fraction) of only 11.5% has obligated him to wear a specialized life vest, permitting him to carry on with daily routines. This is only temporary until doctors can perform surgery to have a pacemaker implanted to keep him alive. Being diagnosed young has given doctors hope that his heart will strengthen, but there is still a strong possibility that he will need a heart transplant in the future. As you can imagine Adam’s expenses are mounting, causing financial hardship on his family. Adam’s last day of work was December 7, 2018, and making ends meet is becoming harder with each passing day. Adam along with his wife Stephanie, son Raiden (9), and daughter Karly (16) are struggling. We kindly ask for your help.
