Please help me get home to my family

Hi family and friends.
I'm not the type of person who would usually ever ask for money, I don't even borrow money because I hate owing to anyone, but this is a different situation. So here's my cause, I'm gonna keep it short no worries.
Well, Alex and I have been thinking to go back to Italy for a while. So we decided 2014 would be the year...the plan was to spend our last summer here and save up as much as possible to go home during fall/winter.
But, after we gave my family the news, some bad events started happening over there to the point where they asked us to please just come back ASAP.
Of course I have to go if they need us, so we just figured we'd work as much as we could and save everything, sell our truck and scooter and hopefully we'll be good to pay for tickets, sending our stuff back and hopefully survive the first month there, without income.
But nothing goes the way I plan it..it never does... I lost my job, and we still haven't sold the truck and scooter and the ticket prices went skyrocket already...my passport expires soon, that means we need to leave within a couple of weeks...also because my family really needs me, and I can't take the feeling of being here and helpless anymore!
$2500 would be a great help, but anything helps at the moment.
This would help us cover for:
-cost of the tickets
-shy guy's documents +mandatory vet appointment
-one pallet on shipping container and moving supplies for some of our memories that we really can't leave behind
-rental car + gas to go home/airport/home (leaving from a bigger airport this time a year, will save us a great amount of money even renting a car and putting gas in it will still be less than leaving from this area)
-Alex's documents, once we arrive
-food, rent and bills for the first 4-6 weeks. It will take Alex about that long, if I remember correctly, to get his paperwork so he can be able to work. And I, hopefully will be able to get a job sooner, but with my family situation I don't think that will happen for at least a couple of weeks.
Anyways, soon it's gonna be my birthday (06/26) and Alex's is 3 weeks later, so if you were thinking of buying us a drink or whatever, we'd appreciate you'd put those $5-10 towards our cause, and help us relieve some of our stress! (Poor Alex hasn't had a day off in a month and I feel so bad for him :( )
Hope you guys can help us: we won't ever forget it, and we'll keep the good karma going helping others when in need! You have my word on that!
And if you can't help financially but wish you could, we still appreciate it and we completely understand. Just send us some good energy! :)
We also appreciate tips on how to save money if you have any (shipping companies, airline tkts etc)
