Achilles the Boxer needs help
Donation protected
Achilles has had an FCE and requires constant care and assistance. A fibrocartilaginous embolism (FCE) is a fairly common disorder in which a piece of fibrous cartilage obstructs the blood supply to the spinal cord. It is suspected that fibrocartilage from the soft gel like center (the nucleus pulposus) of an intervertebral disc enters a vertebral blood vessel, blocks the vessel and causes a “stroke” to the spinal cord. He has lost all function in his rear end. We have to express his bladder to make him pee and his poop seems to be completely random when it exits the body. I have family and friends helping care for him while I work and he will be needing a wheelchair. He is being hand fed.Water is being given with a turkey baster and water bottles. Achilles had surgery last year on some salivary glands and had complications and now with this, the bills have really added up. Please help me get this sweet pup the equipment and help he needs! I will post updates as he hopefully improves.
