ACE Marathon 2019

Saint Elizabeth Elementary School is a transitional kindergarten through eighth grade school located in the heart of the Fruitvale District of Oakland, California. Founded in 1893 by the Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose, Saint Liz has been a staple in the both the Oakland community and Oakland Diocese, educating generation after generation of families. With just under 250 students enrolled in the eight classes (some classes operating on a combination model) at Saint Elizabeth for this 2018-2019 school year, our collective strength is our individual diversity.  Nearly ninety percent of our students speak two languages, and over seventy-five percent of our students are English Language Learners. Saint Liz also has the largest Mother Pia program in the Diocese of Oakland to support students who face any number of learning challenges. 


For the past 125 years, Saint Liz has been able to provide all students an environment where they can grow and cultivate their skills and abilities to become spiritually-aware and socially- conscious lifelong learners. In order to continue this mission and to provide students with the best learning environment possible, we are asking ACE and its supporters to help us purchase new curriculum materials ranging from new musical instruments to up-to-date textbooks to modern classroom furniture as well as beautify our school through a student garden project. With your help we can continue to be a strong, Catholic community and presence as we serve Fruitvale’s community, students, and families for another 125 years!
