Adams Company Dance "Summer Stock"
Donation protected
Adams Company Dance (ACD), in association with Peace Community Chapel (PCC), launches their "Summer Stock" Fund Raiser, with a Jiffy-Mix Dance Event on August 30th, 2017!
DONATE to help keep dancers working by compensating their efforts to produce a new dance for ACD, and, in turn...
Adams Company Dance will help Peace Community Chapel's efforts to put food in the bellies of the homeless by helping to stock food pantry shelves in CT & NYC-based food pantries this summer.
How does this work?
On August 30th, Adams Company Dance will produce a new dance in their "Jiffy Mix" style--just add water and stir -- (short time-framed dance making, in an effort to reduce production costs, yet a chance to give dancers an opportunity to work)! In this manner, dancers are utilized for their talents, given a paycheck, and ACD will produce and perform a new work that will be professionally videotaped in front of a live audience. A film of this piece will later be announced for your viewing which will premiere on ACD's Vimeo Channel.
50% of your donation will go toward ACD's "Keep Dancers Working" Jiffy-Mix project; and the other 50% of your donation ACD will donate to Peace Community Chapel's "Summer Stock" Fund Raiser -- which will be tax-deductible. Peace Community Chapel is a non-profit corporation, tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent permitted by law.
Based in CT, PCC is a mission-based church that seeks to provide support for the area homeless, through various projects that raise awareness of homelessness. CT & NYC have many homeless shelters and food pantries, and through PCC's alliance with multiple relief organizations, they are able to feed and provide for thousands of people every year.
Help ACD and PCC by donating to our "Summer Stock" Event taking place at the Secret Theater , August 30th in Long Island City, Queens, NYC. Audience is invited for the last hour of the event--3:00-4:00p, where you'll see part of the process and the final piece performed. Please email Mitzi to reserve a seat at the event.
