Accessible Van for Lons

Ilona is an amazing 9 year old. As most of you know, Lons had a very hard past. 15 surgeries in the first year of her life, 25 overall. Including 2 twelve hour open heart surgeries. Before she turned one, after being home for just a few weeks, she code and was down for 30 minutes, causing severe brain damage and the loss of her right leg. Since then it has been an uphill battle including hip reconstruction.
For the last year, Lons has been flourishing. Her body has switched from survival mode to enjoying life and actually starting to grow. This is why we are asking for help. We are in the need of a conversion van with a handicap ramp. It currently takes two people to lift her wheelchair into the van. With Ilona growing in weight and height, it is getting very hard to lift her into her car seat. A van with a lift will help us to transport her safely in her wheelchair without any lifting.
Medicaid does have programs to help with a van, but currently Lonsie is not on any of those programs and is on the waiting list. With her needs and conditions, the waiver that helps with a van will not be a good fit for her until she turns 18. This is why we are asking for help.
These Van's are anywhere from $10,000 up to $80,000. We are looking to get a newer used one, but with lower mileage. This van will need to last for at least the next 10 years. All donations will go toward the down payment, so no amount is too small.
