Build a Sailboat for the Disabled

Build a one-of-a-kind sailboat designed for disabled people!
We're Spaulding Marine Center, a charitable 501(c)(3) organization located in Sausalito, CA, and we're asking for your support to build a specially-designed, accessible sailboat that will be captained by disabled sailors.
Spaulding and volunteer master boat builder Peter Saggers have spent more than 500 hours and $16,000 to build the SV-14, a sailboat that was designed as a reasonably-priced prototype that can be specifically outfitted for disabled sailors.
We're building the boat for the Bay Area Association of Disabled Sailors (BAADS). We've even tweaked the design so the boat can be launched from the BAADS-specialized dock in San Francisco. BAADS members visit the Spaulding Marina every week to check on our progress.
Check out the great work BAADS does here: http://www.baads.org/
You can help us finish the project and deliver the boat to BAADS. We need to raise $16,000 in the next 3 months to complete this project. With your help, we can build a high-performance sailboat just for them.
Check out this video from a similar effort in South Africa. We're building the sole American prototype.
