Abused rescued street cat needs life saving care

The night  before Christmas Eve I found this guy scared and  cowering  under the workbench in my garage. His eyes were closed so tight because the outside cats were bullying him and he just didn’t want to fight. He was dirty, beat up and starving. Scars on his head. Road rash on the backs of his legs. Wheezing when he breathes. Eyes draining. Holding his front paw out and limping.  He has fleas and ear mites. His canines are broken in half and he’s missing other teeth.   Possibly an upper respiratory infection as well as an oral infection somewhere. He smells.  Not neutered. But, SO sweet. Where did he come from?? What’s his story?

 He had a rescue that was willing to take him and pay for his medical costs and put him up for adoption. However,  it turns out Winter is also FIV+ (Feline AIDS)  The rescue has now decided they do not want him. So now what?  FIV+  cats can still live a long normal life! It’s just means they have a weakened immune system.  So, this guy probably contracted the disease from cats fighting him since he is very docile and doesn’t want to fight.  He needs a forever home but he also needs medical care desperately. Normally,  I would pay for it myself but the last rescue kittens needed care and I wasn’t planning on taking in anymore cats for a while. But, this guy found me and he deserves a chance!

If anyone wants to donate for his care it would be so appreciated! I’m hoping once he’s vetted it will increase his chances of finding a forever loving home.  The goal is low because I’m not taking on his oral issues at this time (unless he’s in pain).
