Able Sail Toronto is a registered non-profit organization that is run and managed by people who live with disabilities themselves. Able Sail Toronto is currently in the process of obtaining charity status.
Able Sail Toronto is dedicated to providing people like us, living with a disability, the opportunity to enjoy sailing. We know from experience the health and social benefits that adults, youth and children with disabilities can gain from sailing. Able Sail Toronto exists to enable access to sport and healthy activities, particularly for people living on a fixed income. Sailing is a versatile sport that easily adapts to the needs of people with physical disabilities and it levels the playing field.
We are raising funds for a Highfield Club 460 with Yamaha F30 as safety boat to ensure our sailors are safe on the water. The cost is $22,594.35
Supplier is CO2 Inflatables.
We have selected the Highfield Club 460 because the Highfield Club offers the strength and durability of an aluminium hull and the spacious practicality that is required in the Sailing Club environment. It is lightweight, easy to use and easy to drive. The Highfield Club is very easy to maintain, is made to work and is built to last. it is commonly used in the yacht clubs and highly regarded. Two key features we need are lifting points and towing eyes, as well as tow bridle points.
