Backstop for Aberdeen Baseball Club

Help Aberdeen Baseball Club grow their adult and youth programs by developing the first permanent baseball field in Aberdeen. We are a growing club, that would benefit greatly from a permanent structure to further develop the sport and lay the foundation for the continued growth of baseball in the Aberdeen area.

Started in 2013 with only 8 members, Aberdeen Baseball Club has now grown to over 30 members for the current adult program. This past season, we placed 4th out of 6 in the Scottish National Baseball League. We have the goal of winning the league in the 2018 season. The club is the sole club in the North East of Scotland, representing Aberdeen along with Dundee, Inch, Arbroath, Portlethen, Inverness, and various towns throughout the North East area. This season will see the development of the first youth program, currently fielding 2 teams from ages 4-14, with growing interest throughout Aberdeen city and area.

Funds would be used to purchase a permanent backstop system that would benefit both adult and youth programs. Additionally, the permanent system would make Aberdeen's baseball field the premier field in all of Scotland. Remaining funds would be used to purchase permanent bases and homeplate, bats, balls, and other necessary equipment, with a particular focus on growing our stock of youth equipment.
