Bring axle home

Donation protected
At 4:15pm on March 10th, my 4 year olds best friend got out of our fence and was hit by a speeding van in front of our house. His name is Axle. He is a 2 year old redbone coonhound, he was a gift to our then 2 year old son Abel. Abel and Axle l were joined at the hip from day one. After 4 hours in the vets office waiting to hear how bad the damages we're and the extent of his injuries, the vet came in to tell us both of his front legs were broken in multiple places. He is going to need metal plates in both legs to ever walk again, along with a stay in the vet hospital for an unknown time. After all is said and done we were told we either needed to come up with $11,000 or we would have to say goodbye to our sweet Axle after his life was just getting started. As parents telling your child their best friend is gone is no small feat. I wish I could say we have money to just take care of him and not have to ask for help, however that's not the case. My husband works 2 full time jobs meaning he leaves our house at 630am and does not return home untill 130am at the earliest. Even working like he is we are just able to cover our living expenses let alone an emergency like this. Please help us save our sons best friend. Our sweet Axle
