Abbie's Fight Against MS

Abbie Reynolds is 21 years old and lives in Gypsum, CO. She graduated from Eagle Valley High School in 2015 and married her middle school sweetheart a little over a year ago.
Unfortunately, 2019 started off rocky as Abbie began to battle various symptoms affecting her health which included the flu, intense vertigo, blurred vision and weakness in her left limbs. After multiple trips to one doctor after another and multiple false diagnoses, an MRI was finally ordered. In March 2019, Abbie was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. After a lot of discussion with family it was decided that the best course of action would be to receive treatment at Swedish Medical Center. Abbie and her husband Trevor spent 3 days in the Denver area hospital where Abbie received IV steroids to treat her symptoms (or what they call a “flare up”) along with another MRI and a spinal tap. Once discharged, Abbie received another 2 days of IV steroids at the Shaw Cancer infusion center in Edwards. For the time being, Abbie is living symptom free but knows that soon she will have to start on a life long medication that will help prevent future flare ups.
I am starting this GoFundMe in hopes to relieve part of the stress that comes with Abbie's diagnosis; the medical costs. Along with the hospital stay, multiple MRI's and various testing that was done, Abbie will also face the expense of the medication that she will have to be on everyday for the rest of her life. It is unknown at this point if insurance will help cover the cost of the medication she has chosen, but the chances are slim and the costs will be high.
