Abbie Kermode Breast Cancer Treatment Fund

$15,880 of $50,000 goal

Raised by 119 people in 1 month
Created May 11, 2019
Abbie Kermode has been diagnosed with stage II L1 Breast Cancer, which means She has a 3.5 cm mass in her breast the cancer is in one of her lymph nodes.
The recommended treatment beginning May 20th, 2019 Abbie will go under 20 weeks of Chemo Therapy including a cocktail of three different drugs. That will be followed by surgery, then radiation, then hormone blocking treatments.
Funds would be appreciated at anytime during the next course of the year.
The funds will be used to help defer day to day expenses including rent, insurance, car payments, utilities and groceries etc..
Other ways we could use help are family and friends to proactively reach out to Abbie to be there for her and show support during her treatments.  Phone calls, cards, flowers, prayers or text to express their love and positive thoughts and maybe even some laughter. If you would like her address you can contact Beccy though private email or message beccy.hailstones@gmail.com
If preparing or sending food please no sugar, gluten, dairy, eggs or processed foods. We are trying to have Abbie eat a healthy clean diet while going through her treatments. We have lots of healthy recipes or suggestions as well.
Thank you so much for the support! We will all help Abbie through this every step of the way.
Please feel free to share through email, Facebook and text message.

Family & Friends, good news to share following Abbie’s Oncologist update. Abbie’s Breast tumor is showing signs of flattening out and has reduced in size and her lymph note tumor has reduced in size considerably. The chemo treatments are having an impact on the cancer cells and will continue.
Abbie is staying positive and staying busy by working and picking up extra shifts.
Thank you all who have had Abbie in your thoughts and prayers. Sending love from Abbie's Family

Friends & Family, we are blessed that the side effects following Abbie's 1st Chemo treatment have been limited to fatigue, sore throat and cold like symptoms.
On Tuesday Abbie has her 2nd Chemo treatment which will be followed up early the following week with an evaluation by her Oncologist. Please keep Abbie in your thoughts and prayers as we are hopeful that the cancer will begin to show signs of getting smaller.
I would recommend to anyone that has a history of cancer in their family to consider a genetic test for BRCA1 & 2. Although the thought of having one of these mutations can be frightening knowing is better then the alternative.
Thank you Diana for the bracelets, Simon for the stickers , Debbie for the cat socks and all of your cards and flowers you have send to Abbie.
Please keep them coming as Abbie takes great joy in hearing from each and everyone of you.
Thank for you all for your on going generosity, thoughts and prayers.
If anyone wants to do anything for Abbie some suggestions for what she likes are that she really enjoys comfy things, when people make visits and cook for her, or watch movies with her and keep her company.

Thank you and much love,
Abbies Family

Family & Friends, We are inspired by Abbie’s strength and courage combined with the incredible love and support she is receiving from her mom, sisters (Beccy & Kelly) and more family and friends then I have time to list.
Last Sunday we were able to plant Abbie’s vegetable raised beds providing her something to nourish her body in the weeks ahead.
We followed this with breakfast at Havens where we had the pleasure of watching Abbie at her best managing the bar by her self fully loaded with customers during a busy graduation weekend.
We handed out Pink Ribbon stickers to the staff who all wore them to show their unified support of Abbie.
Tuesday Abbie had her 1st Chemo treatment which she powered through as the true warrior she is.
Thursday she had her hair cut donating three long ponytails of hair.
Next week is another busy week of doctor appointments followed by the 2nd round of chemo on June 4th.
I trust that each of you will take a moment over the long holiday weekend to reach out to someone that might be on your mind or say I Love You to those close to you.
Thank you all again for your generosity, love and support.

Family & Friends, we are humbled by the generosity, prayers and kind thoughts extended to Abbie and our family.
We believe that prayer combined with positive actions great things will happen.
With the collective Team surrounding Abbie, we know that this is a temporary setback from which all of us will be stronger and closer together as a result.
Abby begins her treatment on Tuesday (5/22) where she will have the prayers, support and goodwill being generated from around the world across multiple religions from hundreds of individuals all sending their combined strength to Abbie.
Abbie is fiercely independent and it is this independence which have given her the courage and strength of a warrior.
We thank you all for your continued support and prayers as this will be a journey that will likely extend over the next 10 to 12 months.
I will continue to provide updates and we thank you all.. The Kermode Family
