Abbey's Healing Fund

Hi friends and loved ones.  We are asking for your support with Abbey's healthcare needs. She is utilizing the best of both Western and Integrative  (alternative) medical approaches to heal recently diagnosed stage 3 breast cancer.  The good news is there are many therapies available that are selective to targeting these types of cells. The bad news is the type she has is fast growing so we are starting treatments right away.  

Many of you may know a survivor, or be one yourself, and understand the focus and resources it takes to recover.  Abbey is under great care at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation and Stanford Hospital, and will be taking a leave of absence from work so she can get much needed rest, attend appointments, and receive her treatments. She is also seeing an MD/Naturopath, Ayurvedic healer, and Acupuncturist. There are many therapies and remedies that can help arrest the growth of cancer cells including diet and supplements, herbs, and IV vitamin therapy, many of which are expensive and not covered by insurance. 

We will be giving this healing process our full attention and expect a complete recovery.  Nutrition is going to be the foundation for her healing, so cooked meals are also welcome and appreciated.  I'll most likely be starting a meal train so stay tuned. The diet will be disclosed shortly so the meal can fall within the guidelines.  She is on a ketogenic and organic diet now which excludes all carbohydrates and sugars.
