Mission Trip to Guatemala

Hello!
My name is Abbe Garcia. My sister, Izzy, and I have been offered the opportunity to go on a mission trip this summer to Antigua, Guatemala where we will serve at an orphanage called Casa del Destino .
We were confident that we would get to go until several weeks ago when my parents had to use our Guatemala funds to pay for a new transmission in our family's van. I have started this page in the hope of raising enough money to cover the costs of the trip for both my sister and me. Our goal amount would cover the cost of our plane tickets, hotel expenses, and food.
This trip means a lot to me because when I was my sister's age, my dad and I went to Guatemala and served at Casa del Destino. It was a truly life changing experience to step in and become a servant. "For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many" Mark 10:45 NLT I would love to be able to go back with my little sister and be with her as she embarks on her first trip out of the country. I want to be there with her as she steps out of her comfort zone to show the love of Jesus to the little ones.

The support would mean the world to my sister and me. Since I am a first year college student and my sister is about to be in high school, my family has been experiencing a major financial strain. Raising this money would relieve a heavy burden on our family. We would be so grateful for being able to take advantage of this opportunity to share the love of our Heavenly Father with the fatherless.
