I'll never forget that it was the last day of May, a few days ago, that I received a call from my son's precious Mother- Wyndy Daniels informing me that our AaRon, 29 years old tragically lost his life. AaRon was not in any trouble. He was a church-going young man, having been active in praise dance and choreography; an accomplished, winning athlete extraordinaire, championing innumerable awards, medals, and trophies throughout his short life.
That tragic day, he was just minding his own business. In fact, his Mother said that AaRon was on his way to the hospital to visit his newborn babygirl with a group of his friends. But as they approached the intersection of 23rd and Television Place, whatever euphoria my son was experiencing was cut short abruptly. At this intersection, altogether four young people were to meet their end by the callous, criminal intent of a 24 year old young lady who was fleeing Kansas City police in a stolen SUV with speeds in excess of 90 miles an hour, t-boning the vehicle AaRon was driving. Witnesses say that the vehicle flipped three times and landed on its roof, AaRon killed instantly along with two other passengers in the car. There were other fatalities and others suffering multiple injuries.
AaRon left behind four beautiful children ages 10 years to 2 weeks old due to another's total disregard for human life.
