As many of you know, Matt and Anna Engstrom have had a challenging few years due to Matt's Lupus diagnosis.
Just as things were beginning to turn around, Matt fell from the roof of the family home while attempting to clean the chimney. He is currently in the ICU at St. Elizabeth's under sedation as his body begins to heal.
Everyone always asks: 'What can I do to help?' - at the moment, the family needs financial, as much as emotional support. This campaign is to raise money to address the mounting medical bills. Recovery will require an extended hospital stay with many more months in a rehabilitation facility. It is also likely that he will require additional support once he is able to return home.
In situations like this, medical insurance coverage is inadequate to address all of the financial impact. Having already exhausted her vacation and FMLA support, Anna is currently taking time off without pay in order to be in the hospital with Matt.
