Finding a new angle

I'm Alex Jackson, and I've spent the last two years in school learning all about the craft of Journalism. I've gained an appretiation and respect for the position of the journalist and like to think I'm pretty good at it. I love finding the stories of others, but don't tend to tell mine. This however, I have come to accept I can't do alone.

In order to continue to grow as a journalist and as a person, I sought a new angle, and a new environment. That life-changing experience is nearly in my grasp, as I've been accepted to Griffith University, in Queensland Australia. The hard part is that almighty green that makes the world spin. 

This is where I hope Gofundme can come in. Before the program begins in July, I need the money to make it there, pay tuition, and arrange a place to live. I'm seeking other avenues of funding as well, but don't wish to leave everything in one basket, I also hope compound the student loans I already have as little as possible. 

The $40,000 CAD is an undoubtedly huge number, and probably a pipe dream goal. This amount is listed because it would cover my basics, such as tuition, the whole time I'm studying. Would blow my mind to make that, but literally anything is more than I had before.

As cliche as it is, every dollar is hugely appreciated.
