#A2PRChallenge: Aid to Puerto Rico

Tax deductible
The devastating category 5 hurricane that hit Puerto Rico on September 20 continues to impact the daily lives of the 3.4 million Americans that call the island state their home.  Recovery and rebuilding efforts are painstakingly slow and islanders can't do it alone.    While many organizations are sending in volunteers and supplies, it is clear that financial assistance is still the best way to help victims immediately.

This is not your typical fundraiser!  In addition to raising funds locally in Ann Arbor, we are asking you to participate in the #a2prchallenge.  We are challenging you to do a headstand, cartwheel or somersault.  This is your way to feel what its like to have your world turned upside down, just like the residents of Puerto Rico.

Here's how it works:
1. Watch our video on how to do a proper headstand! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1062O70V_3Q
2. Find a friend to record you with a cellphone.
3. Think of three people (or more!) to pass the challenge on to
4. Find a nice clear, safe place to do a headstand or cartwheel or somersault.
5. Do the challenge!   Here's a script of what you can say
"Just like Puerto Rico was turned upside down after Maria, I too turn myself upside down to raise money for victims.  I am donating $20 to the recovery efforts on http://gofundme.com/a2prchallenge.  I challenge [name 3 or more friends] to the #a2prchallenge ".
6. Post your challenge video to Facebook, Instagram, or twitter with the hashtag #a2prchallenge.  Make sure to tag the friends you are challenging so they can see it easily.
7.  Donate what you can to the effort!  A $10 donation is suggested if you can do a headstand!  Donate a minimum of $20 if you can't do a headstand!
