My name is Arya Espahbodi and I am a high school math teacher in Baltimore City (Maryland).

Summer 2018 was about growth and opportunities. On October 13th, 2018 I ran my first marathon in Hartford, CT.

I have enrolled my students in my vision and as a result we are looking to raise AT LEAST $5,000 (1,000 each) for FIVE causes/charities including the Maryland Youth Club, Eric Cameron, Queen's Daughter, St. Judes Children's Hospital, and the Maryland SPCA.

My sixth period is looking to raise money for the Maryland SPCA.  http://www.mdspca.org/  "The Maryland SPCA’s mission is to improve the lives of pets and people in the community". They are also planning a lock-in (over-night sleepover) at the school in early November to raise additional money but your donations will provide a sizable impact too!

My fifth period is looking to raise money for St. Judes Children's Hospital.  https://www.stjude.org/ "St. Jude is a leading children's hospital pioneering research and treatments for kids with cancer and other life-threatening diseases". They are also planning a fee-market at the school to raise additional money. They have also added a staff v students dodgeball and kickball game on Monday Oct 8 and then the flee market from the 9-12. But your donations will provide a sensational impact too!

My third period is looking to raise money for a cause very close to our hearts. The Queen's Daughter is actually a charity one of my students set up to help the homeless in Baltimore and send computers (laptops) to Africa. They are also planning a Haunted House and Bake sale on Halloween at the school but your donations will definitely be a treat!

My first period is looking to raise money for Eric Cameron (another cause very close to our hearts). One of our students has a neighbor named Eric Cameron. Eric is a father of four who needs a heart transplant. Administration is 110% on board and has offered us to use the Homecoming Dance this October as an opportunity to raise money for Eric (+ $2 on ticket price). The students have also decided to have a talent show dedicated to Eric Cameron with an entry fee the day before homecoming. Your donations will be extremely impactful!

The charity I chose is the Maryland Youth Club. https://www.marylandyouthclub.org/  The Maryland Youth Club aims to "Support positive community change through our youth program and club in Baltimore, Maryland.  Maryland Youth Club provides inner-city teenagers with part-time jobs and fundraising opportunities in local, residential neighborhoods."

Thank you for reading this long passage! Help us reach 5,000 so we can give each cause/charity at least $1000! If you are unable to financially show your support please consider showing your support by sharing this link with your friends and family.
