A School Worthy Sax

Mike Becker is a phenomenal student musician currently attending Mansfield University for Music Performance. He is a saxophone primary, but has a dream of going to grad school for a Multiple Winds Degree. He has played principle Alto Saxophone in the Wind Ensemble, principle Oboe in orchestra, Section leader for the piccolo section in marching band, and much more. He won the Mansfield Concerto Competition as a sophmore on Baritone saxophone, and again on Soprano Saxophone.  But it hasn’t been easy. Coming from an already rough childhood, Mike overcame all sorts of obstacles to become a collegiate musician; only to then be in a horrible car accident with a tractor trailer that caused multiple health issues so severe he had to leave school for part of a semester. Despite not being on campus, he still achieved straight A’s and came back to school. He still suffers from extreme pain daily, but pushes through due to his raw passion for music. He is currently auditioning for graduate programs, but due to finances has never been able to purchase beyond a student level saxophone. A truly gifted individual should have the access to equipment that truly reflects the level of passion and talent the performer possesses. No one deserves this opportunity more than Mike. So I am asking (without his knowledge) for help raising money for a proper saxophone for him to play on through grad school, and the rest of his career. Every bit helps. Also, if you personally know this individual, do NOT bring it up to him. It is truly a surprise for an individual who is too kind to ask for help.
