A Prosthetic Hand For LIFE

My story started over 5 years ago, with  a simple cut on my left hand that turned into a massive MRSA infection.
After undergoing over 8 surgeries to contain this infection and serveral rounds of I.V antibotics, this left the hand basically useless and I was still in lot of pain as a result, also completely financially drained.
Aug 11th 2017 the tough choice came to past to amputate the hand, it was one of the hardest choices ever.
In dealing with this process and not knowing what was going to happen on the other side of this surgery my husband and I found out that our insurance company would only pay a small portion of prosethic hand so that I could gain some quality of life back or just be productive in daily activites, or simply be able to handle my own personal care.
I have been in therapy since Sept 2017 to prepare for the prosethic device and recieved the bad news the insurance wasnt going to pay for this device, but would pay for just a basic none moving device.
Fast forward to April 15th 2018 we received the news we had been so longing for an in network provision from the insurance company.  I'm going to be fitted for a prosethic that will meet my specfic needs, such as latex free and a heating unit that will keep the stump warm and allow the nerves to heal.
We still have some out of pocket expenses and deductable that will need to be met, travel expenses, and therapy and re-hab.
