With our beaches and oceans being completely overwhelmed with plastic waste, our small production team has set out to create a powerful documentary focusing on how this devastation is changing our world as we know it.
Our film is presented by Dave Muir, a surfer, surf photographer and father of two based in Sennen Cove, Cornwall. It is easy to see why he has such an incredible passion towards the issue at hand as he’s surrounded by it daily. The story follows Dave on a journey of discovery to find out more about the problem. Speaking with scientific experts, marine biologists and local researchers Dave discovers how plastic is affecting our wildlife and human food chain as well as seeing first hand the monumental size of the problem in some of the worst affected areas in the world.
This film aims to raises awareness around the issues of ocean plastic pollution and encourage the people of the world to think a little differently about their usage of single use plastics.
To make this film possible we are looking to raise both awareness about the project and sufficient funds to cover filming expenses. The entire plastic wave production team and it’s contributors are lending their expertise on a voluntarily basis to help make this film possible.
