A Penny and Pistachio
Donation protected
Meet Pistachio. She's had quite a day. Early Monday morning, she was playing with her little human friend Lily when she somehow got a hold of a souvenir penny from the zoo. In an unbelievable feat of kittenhood, she swallowed the penny and it got lodged in her stomach. A vet visit, ex-rays and an emergency endoscopy later, she's going to be just fine, but she'll need to recover from some ulceration of her stomach lining.
Pistachio is such wonderful kitten - at five months, she's a joy and she has so much more to give us. And while we are so grateful for her and want to keep her healthy and happy, this incident hit us at a very difficult time. Finances are very tight and we are working to pay off a care credit of approximately $1,800. Any help that you can provide would mean the world to us in helping us to provide for our little nugget of kitten joy. As an additional bonus, any excess donations that are given will go to the Cleveland Animal Protective League, without whom we wouldn't have Pistachio in the first place.
Please help if you can, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
