Questa è la storia di tante persone che vogliono fare la differenza. La storia di tutte noi. E forse la tua.
È la storia di tre cuccioli abbandonati a Cianciana, in Sicilia, dove il problema dei cani randagi è ancora terribilmente grave. Una storia già sentita, purtroppo, centinaia di volte.
Ma è anche la storia di due persone meravigliose che abbiamo conosciuto: Christiane e Caterina, che la differenza la fanno ogni giorno.
In una mattina di dicembre, come sempre, sono andate a portare cibo ai “loro” cani e hanno trovato questi piccoli di pochi mesi, abbandonati nella notte. Li hanno accuditi e nutriti, i cuccioli sono cresciuti sani e forti insieme agli altri randagi, grazie alle loro cure… fino al giorno in cui una persona ha deciso che per qualche motivo, era il caso di avvelenarli. E così, in una triste giornata di maggio, tanti dei loro compagni di branco sono diventati vittime dell’ennesima strage di randagi.
Ma non loro tre. Per fortuna soltanto uno di loro ha mangiato il veleno, ma è stato soccorso in tempo e si è salvato.
Oggi sono in stallo dal veterinario di fiducia nell'attesa di lasciare per sempre quella terra, sperando che al nord ci sarà qualcuno che vorrà accoglierli nella sua famiglia.
Sono una femmina e due maschi, ad oggi hanno circa 7/8 mesi.
Noi siamo Elisa e Viola, siamo di Como e abbiamo un sogno. Un sogno enorme e ambizioso. Vogliamo vedere la fine del randagismo in Italia. Difficile? Difficilissimo. Impossibile? No.
“Ogni lungo viaggio inizia con un primo passo.”
Questo è il nostro primo passo. Sistemiamo questi tre cuccioli, portiamoli al nord, dove facilmente troveranno una casa. Poi passeremo ai prossimi.
Noi ci crediamo profondamente, ma non possiamo farcela da sole. Per questo siamo qui a chiedere il tuo aiuto. Un piccolo aiuto, davvero: il costo di un caffè, di una birra, di un pacchetto di biscotti.
Immagina cosa potremmo fare tutti insieme.
Spesso ci sentiamo come gocce nell’oceano, ma non abbiamo nessuna intenzione di arrenderci.

This is the story of many people who want to make a difference. The story of all of us. And maybe your story as well.
It’s the story of three puppies abandoned in Cianciana, Sicily, where the problem of stray dogs is still terribly serious. A story we heard before, unfortunately, hundreds of times.
But it’s also the story of two wonderful people we’ve met: Christiane and Caterina, who make a difference every day.
On a December morning, as always, they went to bring food to “their” dogs and they found these little puppies, just a few months old, abandoned during the night. They looked after them, fed them, and they grew healthy and strong together with the other stray dogs… until the day someone decided that for some reason, it was right to poison them. So, on a sad day of May, many of their pack mates became victims of the umpteenth massacre of stray dogs.
But not these three. Luckily, only one of them ate the poison, but he was assisted in time and he survived.
Today they are staying at the trusted vet’s clinic, waiting to leave that land forever, hoping that in the north there will be someone who wants to welcome them in his family.
They are one girl and two boys and today they are about 7/8 months old.
We are Elisa and Viola, we are from Como and we have a dream. A huge and ambitious dream. We want to see the end of strays in Italy. Difficult? Very. Impossible? No.
“A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.”
This is our first step. Let’s fix these three puppies up, bring them to north Italy, where they will easily find a home. Then we’ll move on to the next ones.
We deeply believe in this, but we can’t make it on our own. Which is why we are here, asking for your help. A small help, really: the cost of a coffee, of a beer, of a box of cookies.
Imagine what we could do, all together.
We often feel like drops in the ocean, but we have absolutely no intention of giving up.
