Marathon for the Horses and Ponies

I am running a marathon , well-  running, walking, and possibly crawling 26.2 miles in order to raise money for Welsh Horse and Pony Aid.  A fantastic small organisation whose aims are to look after the welfare of horses and ponies that have been abandoned, neglected  and left to  the mercy of a rapidly declining  environment which was their safe space, in South East Wales.  Having helped get water to these ponies this summer, I know how hard the volunteers work to check the welfare of these beautiful animals, and indeed other animals who share the grazing with them. The ponies are subject to harassment on the common from off road vehicles, they have to navigate 60mph traffic on the roads through the commons, and there is little or no shelter on the commons for them to escape the heat, the rain, the hail or the snow. With Winter coming, and with new foals around, I want to ensure that there is at least enough feed to see them through the winter.
