A Kidney for Kyle
Someone we love needs help! That someone is our dear friend and sister, Kyle. She needs 2 things: a kidney and financial help.
Kyles' kidneys started to fail about 4 years ago. This was a great surprise to us because she has and still does maintain a healthy lifestyle. For the last 3 years she has been going to dialysis 3 times a week, 4 hours a day.
This limits Kyle from traveling, volunteering, exercisisng, and continuing with day-to-day activities. Her diminished capacity inhibits her desire to give back to the community that gives so much to her.
Because Kyle is a veteran of the Navy, most of her medical expenses are covered by the Veteran's Administration. She suffered a loss of income when forced to a part time status with her job that she truly loves. When the transplant occurs there will be other expenses such as rent, utilities, food, and day-to-day living expenses.
Kyle is an extra-ordinary, amazing friend...always a smile and a positive attitude in spite of her difficulties. She is always thinking of others, never forgetting a birthday or just a note of thoughtfulness. When Kyle enters a room, it's like the sun comes out, always lifting everyone around her!
