JOLLY.
Next .. Thankyou to all those who have helped so far. and now the next stage.
I was diagnosed with Spino Cerebellar Ataxia17, an incurable  degenerative neurological condition in March 1918 .
Is my walking stick a medical prop or a theatre prop? A show about dealing with my diagnosis, attitudes to disablity and the healing power of music,  a performance combines the intimacy of confessional, observational story telling with technological effects of film projection and soundtrack.

Without your help this show wouldn't have got to this stage. We thank you for your support. It enabled  the makingof a tiny fragile, no/lo budget version of this show in early 2018 directed by Jack Klaff.  If the show were a plant, it is now in bud. Now is the time for it to flower into a fuller version, enlarging the production  and creative team and paying them for their time and contribution, increasing the production values to make it a sturdier production for bigger venues.

10% of any funds after recoupment of production costs will go to movement-based Ataxia research.

I'd better make this show happen soon. ...A new show by Jonathan Stone with music, about maintaining balance, acumen whilst adapting to a diagnosis of an incurable degenerative disease.
if you missed it in March catch it while you can - 20 minutes longer with more songs. At the moment I’m a 'mild' case but the prognosis is unknown – it may get bad next year or in 25 so
Jack Klaff has been an outside eye, sounding board, friend and help in making this happen.
In January 2018 I went to Köln in Germany to work on music for the show with the kind and excellent Ekki Maas who is donated his expertise and some studio time in exchange for a meal for his lovely family. I will be performing some of this music and there will be recordings for sale.
In March 2018 I performed a rough 45 minute version
I will be performing the developing Show for 3 nights, 23-25 May 2018 at the October Gallery. Old Gloucester Street W1.
