Build A Home for Paradise Fire Survivor Family
Donation protected
We are two Notre Dame High School students in Los Angeles doing what we can to raise money to help a family affected by California wildfires. With fires sparking all over the state…we know this could happen to any of us.
Our goal is to raise $5000 to build a tiny home for a family who lost their home more than a year ago in the northern California Camp Fire.
In 2018, California experienced the most devastating fire in the state’s history and the worst in the country in a century. The Camp Fire caused hundreds of families in the town of Paradise to lose their homes, jobs, schools and basically their entire community.
- 18,000 structures of the town of Paradise were destroyed
- The fire killed more than 80 people, many were families in their cars as they were fleeing the fire
- Hundreds of people are still missing
- Thousands of homes were lost leaving nearly 1,000 families still searching for homes, even more than a year later
- Tiny Homes for Camp Fire Survivors is working to raise funds and build homes for those with high needs, still living in tents, cars or with relatives
